The World of Bismuth
Bismuth is a world shaped by ambient mana — a living force that once chose its wielders.
Long ago, mana selected champions from the first races. These individuals became known as the Aeon’s, beings of overwhelming power who reshaped the world’s regions. Their rise ended in corruption and collapse, and from their fall came a new balance: mana no longer chooses rulers — it marks individuals with potential.
That mark is called a Sigil.
Sigils & Power
A sigil is a physical manifestation of a skill — etched upon the soul and mirrored on the body.
Sigils are absorbed from beasts infused with mana.
Each sigil represents a specific ability.
Skills evolve through training, thresholds, and meditation.
Hidden patterns exist within every sigil, waiting to unlock.
Power is not gained through brute force alone — it is refined through mastery.
Encanters vs. Enchanters
Encanters
Absorb sigils directly into their souls.
Use the abilities contained within them.
Grow stronger by increasing progression and mastery.
Enchanters
Cannot wield sigils directly.
Imprint sigil effects onto weapons, armor, and structures.
Shape the battlefield indirectly through craft.
Both are essential. Both shape the balance of the world.
Regions & Mana
The world is divided into regions, each associated with unique mana signatures and sigil variations.
Sigils manifest in colors tied to their origin:
Emerald
Sapphire
Citrine
Ruby
Obsidian
Jasper
Pearl
Amethyst
These regional distinctions influence power growth, beast evolution, and political structure.
